USA Today Reporting Everett Mall Way Sears Store On Closure List

Sears

Sears was the first store to open at the Everett Mall 50 years ago.

While it managed to survive several cuts in the past it appears time is running out for the Sears store at the Everett Mall.

USA Today has published a list of Sears locations expected to close at the end of this year and the Everett Mall and Aberdeen Sears locations were both on the list.

Sears was an opening anchor for the Everett Mall when it first opened in 1969. There was Sears at one end of the Mall followed by White Front at the other with little in between. White Front closed and was replaced by The Bon Marche (later Macy’s) in 1977.

No one was available at the Everett Mall at the time of this writing to confirm the USA Today story or offer insight on what may happen with the Sears location.
