Driver Reportedly Running From WSP Causes Crash On 41st Overpass In Everett

A woman was taken by medics to Providence Regional Medical with serious injuries after the car she was driving was hit by a vehicle reportedly running from Washington State Patrol troopers. This from WSP PIO Heather Axtman.

Just before 7 PM we were in pursuit of this stolen blue BMW SB I5 near south Marysville. The BMW was going 86mph when we tried to stop it. We lost sight of the BMW near 41st St and terminated the pursuit. Shortly after the termination, the BMW crashed into a Honda on 41st St. The driver of the Honda has been transported to a local hospital. The male driver of the BMW has been placed in custody. The northbound and southbound I5 off ramps to 41st St are closed for the investigation of this crash.

An Everett Police officer happened to be on the 41st street overpass at the time of the crash and was able to catch the suspect. A woman who was also in the BMW was not injured in the crash.
