Nice Turnout For Rolling-In Of New Everett Ladder Truck
Chief DeMarco explains the history behind the “rolling-in” tradition.
The Everett Fire Department’s newest Ladder Truck was officially christened by the community Monday night. A few dozen people stopped by Station 1 on Rucker Avenue to check out the new truck and roll it into the fire station. The former ladder 1 is moving to reserve status and replaces the last of the yellow ladder trucks that date back more than 20 years. Here are a few photos from the event.
The City was able to obtain a grant last year to help pay for new fire trucks this year.
That’s a lot of steps.
The first push from the crowd.
Getting closer
And a final push
Firefighters took time for photos with future firefighters.
Gotta be strong to be a firefighter.
Fire, ladder truck
