Everett Firefighters Honor Their Past With Annual Memorial Weekend Cleanup
The memorial is nearly 100 years old.
Nearly 100 years ago the Firemen’s Relief Association purchased and dedicated a plot of land within Evergreen Cemetery and crafted a memorial to members of the Everett, Washington Fire Department.
Every Memorial Day Weekend for as long as current members of the Everett Firefighters Association say they can recall, members have gathered to clean and maintain the memorial. Today EFFA members, some joined by family, again paid tribute to past Everett Firefighters. MyEverettNews.com tagged along and here are just a few photos of the work done today.
