Candlelight Vigil Set For Thursday Night For Store Owner

Editor’s Update April 24th 2:50 PM: This afternoon an Everett District Court Judge decided there was probable cause to hold the suspect on suspicion of aggravated 1st degree murder, attempted murder and 1st degree robbery. He set bail at $5,000,000.00. The next step in the process is for charges to be filed by the Snohomish County Prosecutor and an arraignment.

Passing along word received from several community members of a candlelight vigil for Jae Ahn who was killed Monday night at his store at 6901 Broadway. The vigil is set to begin at 7 PM.

The suspect in the case meanwhile is expected to make an initial appearance at a probable cause hearing in Everett District Court today (Wednesday) at 1 PM. This won’t be an arraignment but just a hearing to determine if there is enough to hold the suspect until formal charges can be filed. It happens via a video link between the courtroom and the Snohomish County Jail.
