In every year of their existence the Everett Silvertips have made it to the Playoffs. Saturday night they finished Round 1 in strong fashion and will move on to Round 2 with home ice advantage. Here’s more:

The Everett Silvertips ( @WHLSilvertips ), seven-time U.S. Division champions of the Western Hockey League, have defeated the Tri-City Americans, 4-1 in the first round of the WHL Playoffs and will hold home ice advantage to begin the second round of the WHL Playoffs, facing the Spokane Chiefs in a best of seven series following a “2-3-2” format. The series will open in downtown Everett for Game 1, on Saturday, Apr. 6 at 7:05 p.m.
Ticket packs for Games 1-2 are on sale now and can be purchased around the clock at www.everettsilvertips.com/playoffs. All individual playoff tickets for the second round will go on sale at Noon on Monday, Apr. 1 at www.everettsilvertips.com/playoffs, by phone at (425) 252-5100, and in person at the Silvertips offices at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Ticket holders are to use “Game D” on their ticket stub for Game 1 of the series, and “Game E” for Game 2.
The Silvertips will face the Chiefs for the fifth time in postseason history with a 3-1 series record and last meeting in the first round of the 2015 WHL Playoffs, won by the Silvertips, 4-2. The Silvertips won the U.S. Division title with a record of 47-16-2-3 (99 points). Spokane finished second in the U.S. Division with a record of 40-21-2-5 (87 points) and reached the second round of the playoffs after defeating the Portland Winterhawks, 4-1 in the opening round.
The Silvertips went 6-0-1-1 in eight meetings this season against Spokane. They were led in the head-to-head series with 10 points apiece from Connor Dewar and Bryce Kindopp, while Dewar led the Silvertips with five goals.
