Fingerprinting and background checks are coming for those with access near the terminal at Paine Field

Word in from Paine Field that new security provisions are being put in place for those working close to the new passenger terminal recently opened by Propeller Airports in Everett, Washington.

To insure Paine Field Airport remains in compliance with federal regulations governing commercial flights, credentialing staff are in the process of issuing new access badges to people who will be working in or around the new passenger terminal.

Starting in April, airport businesses and tenants will be contacted to begin the re-badging process. Tenants with expiring badges will be accommodated with an extension until an appointment can be scheduled. The new process includes fingerprinting and criminal history background checks for people working in secure areas at the airport.

The airport is changing badging procedures to meet federal requirements set at all commercial-use airports.

Frequently asked questions about the new badging process, as well as necessary forms, can be found on theĀ airport credentialing office page.
