On Thursday, March 14th, Workforce Snohomish, in collaboration with the Snohomish County Veterans Homelessness Committee and Everett VFW Post 2100, will host the Snohomish County Veterans Stand Down 2019. This is a free, one day event dedicated to providing our veterans in need, much needed services, from gear, clothing, medical and dental screenings, benefits counselors, and housing information.

All general services are open to both men and women veterans, however, this year we are proud to announce a newly expanded Women’s Pavilion; women specific services offered for women by women, in a private setting.

The Women’s Pavilion will include 12 vendors, including education, training, apprenticeship and basic employment services, medical care, clothing, and mental health services.

This event is part of Workforce Snohomish’s Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program, an initiative focused on assisting homeless veterans overcome their barriers and gain stable housing through employment.

Although this event is aimed at serving homeless veterans, there are many definitions of homelessness and we will not turn you away, as we continue to work toward ending veteran homelessness

The event will be held at the VFW Post, 2711 Oakes Ave., Everett, WA from 9 am – 5 pm with dental services from 8 am – 10 am. For more information, please contact the Workforce Snohomish Veterans Unit at 425.258.6340.

The complete list of services, include: hygiene; legal services; haircut/stylist; dental screening; gear and clothing; housing information; meals and refreshments; employment resources; education and training; Veterans Service Officers; mental health assistance; Veterans Benefits Counselor; and medical & dental assessments.
