Fast Signs in downtown Everett is getting ready to put up the new signage for the Judd and Black location in Everett, Washington.

Other excitement in Everett comes as Judd and Black readies the return of a location in Everett. Back in September their Everett store was destroyed in an arson fire causing more than three million dollars in damage. At that time they issued a notice on their Facebook page that they would be back in Everett even stronger than before. On Sunday afternoon we spotted a crew from Fast Signs prepping the signage for their new building. We promised not to reveal the new location but it will become obvious in the short term as the signs go up.

300 room hotel on drawing board for Seaway Boulevard:

Seaway

This is from the pre-application so there is a lot that could change in the future.

A pre-application has been filed with the City of Everett Planning Department for the Seaway Commercial Center. Plans appear to be for a 300 room hotel on Seaway Boulevard just south of the Everett Community College Corporate and Continuing Education Center and north of the Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary Park. In addition to the hotel there are plans for a companion distribution center and office space measuring more than 159,000 square feet. No word yet on who the tenant may be for the distribution center. As far as the brand of the hotel, that is also undisclosed but with Fluke and Boeing both across the street there would seem to be plenty of demand for a nice hotel in that area of southwest Everett.
