Shortly before midnight Wednesday night a Chevy Malibu going southbound on Evergreen Way at the 526 overpass crashed into a Mercedes, went over the median, across the northbound lanes of Evergreen, through the landscaping and into the front of Anne’s Hair Salon.
The car went about halfway into the shop causing extensive damage.
The driver of the Malibu was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.
The driver of the Mercedes was not injured.
It appeared that speed may have been a factor.
No word if the driver was impaired by drugs or alcohol.
