Woman At Fatal Shooting Arrested For Tampering With Evidence By Hiding Victim’s Gun

Everett Police were on scene within a minute of the call coming out.

Earlier this morning we told you about the fatal shooting of a man outside the Jack in the Box restaurant in front of the Fred Meyer on Evergreen Way. Now Everett Police have revealed they have arrested a woman who was with the shooting victim. Here’s the information provided by Everett Police:

Everett Police have arrested a witness in the Feb. 17 homicide for tampering with evidence.

The adult female was contacted at the scene at 85th and Evergreen and was determined to have been present when the male was shot.

When detectives made contact with the woman, she was in possession of a purse. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that there was a gun in the purse that had been associated with the deceased victim. She advised officers that she had removed the firearm from the victim prior to them arriving.

The female was arrested and booked into jail for tampering with evidence. The homicide is still an active investigation and Everett Police will share more information as it becomes available.
