12:05 PM: The snow has been falling steadily almost all morning in central Everett. As more people venture out there are more reports of cars being caught in a combination of snow, ice and slush on the side roads. Lots of neighbors with shovels and 4 wheel drive vehicles helping out stuck motorists but the theme remains the same, if you can stay off the roads that is best.

Earlier today Everett Fire responded to a report of a collapsed carport at a home in south Everett. The resident was inside the house and not hurt. People have been seen using rakes and other garden implements to try and remove excess snow off of their roofs.

The Port of Everett has cancelled their commissioner’s meeting and the Imagine Children’s Museum is offering free admission until three o’clock this afternoon.

Here is the most recent update from the City of Everett on what is closed:

Please call the Public Works 24/7 dispatch line to share observations about specific locations: 425-257-8821. Extra staff have been scheduled to respond to calls.
