Victims In Sunday’s Crash Identified, Everett PD Says More Work To Do

Family help Today the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office released the identity of the child and adult killed in a one car crash Sunday morning on 112th street SW.
The child was identified as 5-year-old Izabella Torres of Everett. The adult was identified as 25-year-old Alemayehu A. Derege of Lynnwood, WA. The Medical Examiner said both died of multiple blunt force trauma and the manner of death was accident.

Also this afternoon Everett Police released the following statement:

Since Sunday morning, detectives have continued investigating the fatal one-vehicle collision that occurred in the 1100 block of 112th Street SE. At this time, it has been determined that all four people were occupants of the vehicle. Both of the deceased, the toddler and adult male, were in the back seats of the vehicle when the collision occurred.

There is no medical update on the surviving occupants, but the female passenger and male driver are expected to survive.

Due to the extent of injuries, deaths and vehicle debris, a thorough investigation will take time. Criminal charges, if any, will not be determined until the conclusion of the investigation.
