Firefighter Basketball Battle Saturday To Benefit Burn Foundation

basketball Usually they cooperate and provide Mutual Aid but this Saturday members of the Everett Fire Department and South Snohomish Fire will face off against each other in a charity basketball game at Everett Community College. Here are the details:

– South Snohomish County Fire and Everett Fire departments will play a Firefighters Charity Basketball game on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 4:30 pm at the Walt Price Fitness Center at Everett Community College. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Washington State Council of Firefighters Burn Foundation.
Firefighter Charity Basketball game starts around 4:30 pm. General admission tickets are $5 per person. General public is welcome. Everett CC women’s basketball team match up with Edmonds CC women’s basketball team at 2:30 pm. Everett CC men and Edmonds CC men basketball teams play at 6:00 pm.

Garet Studer, Everett Community College Athletic Director, coordinated this charity basketball game on the same day as the Everett Community College Trojan basketball teams host the Edmonds Community College Triton basketball teams. Each year Everett Community College Trojans and Everett Community College Tritons compete for the Everett/Edmonds Rivalry Trophy, known as the “T” Trophy.

“We wanted to come up with a fun and creative way to host a local heroes night, and that evolved into a charity basketball game between the Everett Fire Department and the South Snohomish County Fire Department. When we were looking at dates to host the game, and we saw a perfect opportunity on the day that we hosted Edmonds CC which added even more of a community feel to our big rivalry game.” states Garet Studer, Everett Community College Athletic Director.
