Fire spread from the bottom unit up.
A two-alarm fire in the 800 block of Casino Road was quickly brought under control by Everett Firefighters this morning.
The fire was reported about 8:30 AM coming from a lower apartment and spreading upwards.
Flames were visible as fire crews arrived and some residents had to use ladders to get off their balconies on the back side of the building.
One person was transported with minor injuries to the hospital by ambulance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is helping at least two families who were displaced.
