Winds Knocked Out Power All Over Everett
This was the only car in the parking lot behind the Labor Temple on Lombard and somehow the tree found it.
12:30 PM update: Thousands are without power in Everett and Snohomish County. No injuries reported so far but trees have come down all over Everett. PUD advising to stay away from downed lines. Everett Police and Fire working on rescue of kayaker in Union Slough.
6:30 PM update: Good news on the kayaker in Union Slough as apparently two people were able to make it safely to land. Most of the winds have died down but there are still a few scattered outages. Everett Community College closed early due to a power loss and trees came down all across Everett from north to south. At its peak more than 12,000 PUD customers in the Everett city limits were without power. A 54 mile an hour wind gust was recorded at Paine Field in south Everett shortly before noon.
