Police Activity Closes 8th Ave West

Mid-afternoon the two suspects surrendered to Everett Police and the road re-opened.

12:30 PM: We have received some calls about police activity on 8th Avenue West in south Everett.

Everett Police have 8th Avenue West closed between Casino Road and 88th while negotiators try to get two people to leave an apartment. Everett Police Spokesman Aaron Snell says the incident is related to a stolen car. One person has been taken into custody while as of this writing, two people remain in the apartment on 8th Avenue West. The incident has been going on most of the morning. Snell says the SWAT team and negotiators have been called out in an abundance of caution.
