Afternoon Apartment Fire Displaces Two Families In South Everett

Everett Fire passed along the following about an apartment fire Thursday afternoon.

At 3:28 pm Everett Fire units responded to a call for an apartment fire in the B building of the Tessera Apartments located at 1304 Bruskrud Road in Everett, Washington. Firefighters encountered flames and heavy black smoke on arrival. Firefighters made a quick stop to keep the fire contained to the one unit.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries, he was evaluated at the scene and released.

The homeowner was not in the apartment at the time but arrived shortly after and was able to get 2 dogs out of the residence.

In addition to the primary apartment unit, the apartment below sustained water damage from firefighting activities. Damage is estimated at $75K.

The property management team of the Tessera Apartments is providing other units for those displaced.

Investigators are on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
