The bridge over Mukilteo Boulevard needs a bit of care.

A heads-up for those who regularly use Mukilteo Boulevard…

Drivers should plan for a single-day closure of E Mukilteo Blvd., between Elk Hill Dr. and 42nd St. SW, on Sunday, Nov. 4. The closure will begin at 4 a.m. and will remain in place until 4 p.m.

The road closure is necessary for crews to perform maintenance of the pedestrian overpass and tree trimming. A 1.5-mile detour route will be in place, beginning at 42nd St. SW for eastbound traffic and at Grand Ave. for westbound traffic. Drivers should account for approximately five minutes of additional travel time.

During the closure, crews will clean the pedestrian overpass located in the area to clear it of built-up debris that could fall onto traffic below. Crews will also trim trees to improve line of sight.

Forest Park will remain open during the road closure and accessible via the west entrance located near Pigeon Creek Rd.
