10:50 PM: Detectives with the Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit are investigating a fatality crash on southbound 529 between Marysville and Everett at the Snohomish River Bridge.

Shortly after 9 PM Snohomish County 911 began receiving calls of a person dressed in dark clothes jumping in front of cars on the Snohomish River Bridge.

As Everett Police were responding another call came of a car pedestrian crash. Witnesses and arriving police tried providing CPR on the pedestrian and medics took over those efforts upon their arrival but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car involved stayed on the scene and was cooperating with Everett Police. The Washington State Patrol shut down southbound 529 completely at I-5 so Everett Police could investigate. 529 was still closed as of this writing Friday night.
