Southwest To Serve Oakland And Las Vegas From Everett

Southwest Airlines plans five flights daily from Paine Field.

While Alaska and United previously released their planned cities for flights from Paine Field, Southwest had not made their plans public. That information is now out after the release of the Draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment by the FAA this weekend.

According to the information in the report Southwest will fly two daytime round trip flights to Las Vegas. In addition there are two daytime round trip flights to Oakland and another night time round trip to Oakland. (Daytime is considered 7:00 AM to 9:59 PM and nighttime is 10:00 PM to 6:59 AM)

So now we know there are ten destinations for those who want to fly out of Paine Field in Everett, Washington.

DEN = Denver International Airport – United
LAS = Las Vegas McCarran International Airport – Alaska & Southwest
LAX = Los Angeles International Airport – Alaska
PDX = Portland International Airport – Alaska
PHX = Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport – Alaska
SAN = San Diego International Airport – Alaska
SFO = San Francisco International Airport – Alaska & United
SJC = San Jose Mineta International Airport – Alaska
SNA = John Wayne – Orange County Airport – Alaska
OAK = Oakland International Airport – Southwest

Current expectations are that service will begin in January of 2019.
