Judd & Black Lost One Building, Not Their Business

Everett, Everett Fire

The fire may slow them a bit but will not stop Judd & Black.

Just like the owners of Everett Office Furniture reminded folks that the loss of their main location in a major fire in September of 2017 was just a setback, the owners of Judd & Black have issued a statement on their Facebook page that it was a building that was destroyed, not their business. For those not on social media, here is their statement.

Sadly our Everett Store fell victim to a massive fire last night and it appears to be a total loss. Fortunately, no one was injured or harmed. Fire and police investigators have yet to determine a cause, but expect to have an answer in the coming days. What we do know is that many of our team lost our home away from home and a landmark in the community. It had supported our family and many others for years. It will be missed. However it was just a building and the best part of it was the people that worked inside day after day, year after year. Judd & Black is far more than a building on the corner of Hewitt and Maple. We will continue to do business exactly the same way we always have, by doing what ever it takes to get the job done. Our people are our best asset and together we will pull through this tragic event. We will mourn the loss of our historic Headquarters, but business will continue as usual out of our other locations. We are eternally grateful to the first responders that worked tirelessly to fight the fire and keep everyone safe. Thank you also to city officials, all of our partners, and community members that have reached out with their well wishes. We are committed to rebuild and come out of this stronger.
