The apartments would be across from the Everett Performing Arts Center on Wetmore.

A couple of interesting planning notices in the inbox recently from the City of Everett.

In the first, a public comment period is now open on a request by Skotdal Brothers, LLC to reduce the required on-site open space requirements for a proposed 75 unit apartment building in downtown Everett at 2721 Wetmore. An earlier plan called for 60 apartments at that address. People interested in commenting on this project have until September 7th to submit written comments to the Everett Planning Department.

In the other case a new planning notice from Everett Transit shows a proposal to expand an existing park-and-ride lot by 90 stalls at Everett Station. The request is a modification of the internal landscaping requirements for parking lots in the C-2ES zone (EMC 19.25.010.D). The required number of trees within parking lots is one tree per each four parking stalls. The proposal is to reduce the number of trees within the parking lot and provide additional perimeter landscaping along the eastern portion of the property.

Written comment on that proposal must be submitted to the Everett Planning Department by September 18th.

Everett makes it easy to track proposed developments and sign up for alerts on land use projects here on the city’s website.
