On Sunday afternoon, Aug. 26, the Everett Education Association and the district negotiations teams reached a tentative contract agreement. The Association is scheduled to present this tentative agreement to its members on Tuesday for their consideration. If approved by the Association membership, the school board is scheduled to ratify the contract at its board meeting on Sept. 11.

School for students from first grade through high school is scheduled to start on Wednesday, Sept. 5. Kindergarten students start school on Sept. 10th.

WE HAVE A TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

At 5:07 pm the Everett Education Association and Everett School District reached a tentative agreement.

There are significant and important changes to your working conditions and how you are compensated.

Please make every effort to attend the members only General Membership meeting on Tuesday, August 28th, at 9 am at the Everett Civic Auditorium. All changes to the contract will be available at the meeting.

Parking is limited, so please try to carpool. Per our by-laws there is no voting by proxy.

Your Bargaining Team

Again nothing is set in stone and the teachers still have to vote but it looks like a deal has been struck and Everett Schools will join the Mukilteo District in starting on September 5th.
