Always like to pass on word of these as they come around. There’s going to be another security exercise at Naval Station Everett on Wednesday. Here are the details from Kristin Ching at the base.

Naval Station Everett will be conducting a security exercise on Wednesday, August 22. Training is scheduled to occur between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Base access will be affected for short periods of time.

There will be a heightened security presence at the base waterfront and small boat maneuvers around the harbor. Other activities associated with the exercise will include loudspeaker announcements, active emergency response vehicles, and flashing lights.

Training is conducted regularly to help maintain and improve the qualifications of emergency response personnel. NSE is responsible for protecting the safety and security of the Navy base, homeported vessels, and surrounding maritime environment.
