Police Investigating Stabbing South Of 112th Park And Ride

Officers head down a trail leading to an encampment in the woods south of the Park and Ride.
Troopers from Washington State Patrol, Snohomish County Sheriffs Deputies and Everett Police Officers all responded to the Park and Ride at 112th and I-5 shortly after six o’clock this morning (Wed). At the east end of the Park and Ride officers found a man who had been stabbed and was bleeding heavily.
Medics from Everett Fire were called and a law enforcement officer applied a tourniquet.
Officers determined the victim was stabbed at an encampment south of the Park and Ride in the wooded median between north and southbound I-5.
Officers located several tents and were able to take a person of interest into custody. The victim was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center and the Everett Police Major Crimes Unit is handling the investigation.
The investigation is not affecting operations at the Park and Ride.
