An Everett District Court judge found there was probable cause to hold a 33-year-old woman in jail for felony malicious mischief after she allegedly caused thousands of dollars in damage to two dozen vehicles in north Everett late Tuesday night.

According to probable cause documents filed by Everett Police late Tuesday night they received a call from a resident in the 1700 block of Lombard who reported she saw a woman damaging her truck. The officer who arrived looked at the truck and found it covered in what he called incredibly deep scratches. The victim told the officer the woman who did the damage traveled south on Lombard.

Another victim flagged down a K-9 officer and reported to him that his vehicle was damaged and the woman who did it was going along 19th street damaging vehicles. The first officer got into a foot chase with the woman and took her into custody. Both witnesses positively identified the woman who was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for malicious mischief in the first degree. She refused to speak with police about the incident.

Officers followed up and found two dozen vehicles that had been damaged with repair costs in the thousands. One victim told MyEverettNews.com the damage estimate just for her car was over $4300.00.

The judge set bail at $2500.00. Prosecutors have three days to file formal charges or release the woman from custody.
