Theatrical smoke comes out a southeast window of the school Monday afternoon.

Crews are drilling at the Longfellow Building this week.

If you see smoke coming from the Longfellow School during the day it is most likely from a drill.

Everett Fire Department will be training at the Longfellow building, 3715 Oakes Ave, today, July 2, 3, & 5, from 8am-5pm.

Do not be alarmed if you see “smoke” in the area, this is non-toxic smoke, similar to theatrical smoke, that they use for training.

This has nothing to do with the Everett School District plans to take down the Longfellow Building.

Everett Police and Fire crews have been conducting training in the building for the past several years.
