Today through Friday there are a few hundred kids and dozens of volunteers back at the soccer fields at Walter Hall Park in south Everett for the annual Casino Road Soccer Camp.

This is the tenth year where police officers with the City of Everett and deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office have partnered with Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County, Molina Health Care, Mukilteo Schools and others to teach soccer skills along with healthy choices to teens in Everett.

Most of the kids come from the Casino Road area. Breakfast and Lunch are provided. Many officers use days off or take vacation time to participate in this annual event.

Some of the kids who attended the camp years ago are now back as volunteer coaches.

If you get a chance, stop by and take a look now through Friday as kids and cops get to know each other in a fun setting.
