This weekend, Sgt. Miller and Deputies Gilfeather and Murray found “pruno” (aka “jailhouse hooch”) hidden in the kitchen.

Pruno is usually made with bread, fruit or other items hoarded from meals and left to ferment.

The end result has been described as a “bile flavored wine-cooler” and can cause alcohol poisoning, botulism, and other serious health issues. The inmate(s) responsible have not yet been identified.
