The Expo is presented by Everett Public Schools along with several community partners.
There is no charge to attend and you don’t have to have kids in school to check it out.
There are three main parts to the evening.
1). PreK-12 innovative learning showcase
Come see what the schools are doing to promote 21st century learning. You will find the traditional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) subjects represented as well as, Art, Music, Literacy, Fitness and Assistive Technology (for students with special needs), and how these subjects are applied to creativity, communication, collaboration, citizenship, critical thinking and/or growth mindset. What a wonderful way to support our students as they show their skills to parents and community.
2). Elementary and middle school STEM competition
Come join us on the floor of Angel of the Winds (formerly XFinity) Arena for the Innovation Expo Student STEM Competition, where the best 4th grade, 5th grade and middle school experiment, research and engineering design projects from across the district will be on display. From 5–6 p.m., students will present their STEM projects to judges and the community. Awards will be given for the top three projects in each category for 4th grade, 5th grade and middle school. You won’t want to miss hearing these exciting STEM presentations by our young scientists and engineers.
3). Interactive, hands-on displays by community and industry partners
Come experience interactive displays hosted by local community and industry partners. With a focus on career connected learning, the displays introduce students and their families to contemporary and innovative careers.
The program runs from 5 PM – 8 PM and is open to the general public as well as students and their families in the Everett School District. The arena is located at 2000 Hewitt Everett, WA 98201.
