Flag exchange

Not only will you receive a new flag but your old flag will be retired with dignity and respect.

For the 10th year Claudia McClain and her staff at McClain Insurance are giving people the chance to bring in a worn out or tattered American Flag and exchange it for a new one.

Over the past nine years McClain Insurance has distributed more than 1200 flags. The new flags are made in America and the old flags are respectfully retired in a ceremony conducted by local Boy Scouts.

Back in 2014 Claudia McClain told MyEverettNews.com: “We started this program in 2008 in honor of Flag Day as an effort to serve our community. Hundreds of Snohomish County residents have taken us up on the offer to exchange their flag. We’ve learned that one of the biggest concerns for our neighbors is not necessarily the acquisition of a new flag, but rather the knowledge that there will be a proper ceremony for the retired flag.”

Exchange your tattered flag June 4th – 8th from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the McClain Insurance office at 10410 19th Ave SE, Everett, directly south of Costco.

You are also invited to:
– Display your American flag in celebration of Flag Day on June 14th
– Help McClain Insurance spread the word! Share your flag pictures on social media with the hashtag #mcclainflagexchange
