Wait until after 12 Noon to head to the beach at Silver Lake this Saturday.

A heads up from the city for those planning a visit to the beach at Silver Lake Saturday morning…

Everett families and visitors should plan for a beach closure at Silver Lake this Saturday, May 19. The beach and parking lot will close at 6 a.m. for sand maintenance and are expected to reopen by 12 p.m. the same day.

The sand at Silver Lake’s beach is replaced on an as-needed basis to maintain the integrity of the beach and prevent erosion. All of the work will be performed by Everett Parks and Public Works staff, and the sand that will be brought in is being repurposed from dredging of the Snohomish River.

In order to perform the work in a safe manner, crews need to keep the beach clear of patrons. The parking lot near the beach will be closed in order to ensure the safety of all park and beachgoers until the work has been completed.
