Detectives and patrol officers confer after a man and woman were detained on Elm street in connection with Wednesday’s shooting.

According to probable cause papers filed by an Everett detective following the arrest of a suspect in the shooting at the Far West Motel on Evergreen Way Wednesday morning, the shooting was part of a drug robbery.

In addition to the suspect who did the shooting it appears two other people, a man and a woman, were also involved.

This morning members of the Everett Police anti-crime team located the other two and with help of patrol officers conducted a high-risk stop in the 4900 block of Elm street.

A man and woman were taken into custody and brought to the Everett Police north precinct. A silver car was impounded.

According to the probable cause papers the shooting victim had 24 bullet holes in his body including entry and exit wounds. He underwent surgery Wednesday. No update on his condition was available at this writing.

The suspect in the shooting is reportedly a convicted felon. He’s expected to make an initial court appearance this afternoon. He had ditched the gun in some bushes while hiding from police but later led a detective back to the gun which is now in evidence.
