Everett Public Library Looking For Time Capsule Entries

Everett

time capsule

You have a few months to come up with the perfect entry.

What do you think people should know about Everett fifty years from now? Mindy Van Wingen from the Everett Public Library sent along this invitation for readers of MyEverettNews.com to contribute to a planned time capsule.

Everett Public Library invites the community to contribute to a time capsule celebrating Everett’s 125th anniversary. Help us send a message 50 years into the future by sharing a story, poem, or drawing that describes your favorite place in Everett or what you think Everett will be like in the future.

Time capsule entry forms will be available at both Everett Public Library locations until  August 19. To participate, pick up an entry form at the Main Library at 2702 Hoyt Avenue or at the Evergreen Branch Library at 9512 Evergreen Way. The Library welcomes time capsule entries from adults, young adults, and children. Entry forms are available in English and Spanish.

Join us at a special celebration of Everett’s past, present, and future when we seal the time capsule on Sunday, August 19 at 2 pm, in the Main Library auditorium.

For more information on the time capsule and other 125th anniversary celebration events, visit the Everett Public Library’s website at www.epls.org/125 or call 425-257-8000
