Fish-In

A happy angler from 2013.

She’s not completely sure what to do next.

In seven years this is still our favorite story to cover.

Kids, many of them for the first time, catching fish at Silver Lake in south Everett. The annual Kids Fish-In is set for Saturday May 12th between 7:30 AM and 1:30 PM at Thornton A. Sullivan Park.
The event is for kids between the ages of four and fourteen and there is no cost. If you have gear bring it but if not there will be a limited number of poles available.

Are you a parent but don’t know anything about fishing? That’s okay, volunteers from the Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club will be on hand to help the kids catch a fish.

The event does fill up and in order to make it work signups are necessary ahead of time. Sessions are held hourly at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30.

Fill out this form, send or bring it to the Parks Office and list your top two choices for session times.

Again there is no cost but a separate form is needed for each child.

For questions call the Parks Office at 425-257-8300 extension 2.
