Klein Honda Plans Expansion

Klein

Klein Honda is growing their showroom.

Plans have been filed with the City of Everett by Klein Honda for an expanded showroom and other improvements.

The proposal is construction of a new 5,042 square foot showroom addition to an existing auto dealership, 2,418 square foot service bay addition, and 3,072 square foot service bay canopy entrance. A new 4,140 s.f. service bay building with 10 service bays would also be constructed along the east property line. Public comments are open through Thursday.

Macy’s At The Mall To Become Flooring Superstore

Floor

The store is expected to open this fall.

Remodeling is underway at the former Macy’s at the Everett Mall. The building itself is not part of the Mall and the recent sale but a separate entity. Last month remodeling began to convert the former department store into a Floor and Decor. Headquartered out of Atlanta they say they are a leading specialty retailer in the hard surface flooring market, offering the broadest in-stock selection of tile, wood, stone, related tools and flooring accessories – at everyday low prices. The Everett store is expected to open late this year.

Construction Started At Berkshire Low Barrier Housing Site

low barrier

Activity got underway April 21st and seems to be increasing.

low barrier

A new street for a new project.

Heavy equipment has moved in and construction appears to be underway on the City of Everett’s low barrier housing project in central Everett. Groundbreaking was back in January but little had been done at the location until last week when fencing went up. Now there appears to be a big increase in activity at the site.

One interesting note, the address is no longer on Berkshire but now is listed as 6200 12th drive SE. Catholic Housing Services is in charge of the project and will operate and manage the facility once it opens. That is expected to happen sometime in the later portion of 2019.

West Coast Self-Storage Moves Corporate Headquarters to Everett

West Coast

Another corporate headquarters to call Everett their home.

Not construction related but 20 jobs are moving from Mill Creek to Everett as West Coast Self-Storage has announced a relocation of their corporate office. The company currently manages or owns 53 self-storage facilities in the pacific northwest with properties in Washington, Oregon and California. The company relocated to Everett to be more centrally-located for its corporate staff. The company employs 101 people throughout the tri-state region and is actively hiring more storage managers to keep up with their growth plan.
