A small house in the 1200 block of 35th street was heavily damaged by fire early Monday morning.

Everett Fire crews were called shortly after 2:30 AM to reports of a home fully engulfed in flames.

The house was just west of Sequoia High School on 35th.

There was no one living in the house but Everett Police did detain a person reportedly seen walking away from the home.

Police were investigating reports transients may have been staying inside a shed or vehicle on the property.
