Everett Community College will be hosting the men’s and women’s NWAC championship basketball tournament. Both EvCC men’s and women’s teams will be competing, and both have an opportunity to advance far in the tournament. Thanks to Garet Studer at Everett Community College for the heads-up.
The Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) will be showcasing their Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship Tournaments, March 9-12 and March 18-19, 2017 at the Walt Price Student Fitness and Event Center, on the campus of Everett Community College.
16 men’s and 16 women’s community college basketball teams will be playing their version of the Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 and championship games to determine the 2016-2017 NWAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Champions. Teams and fans representing communities from as far south as Roseburg, as far East as Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and as far west as Port Angeles, Washington will be converging on the City of Everett for this two weekend event.
The Snohomish County Sports Commission and Everett Community College will be hosting the championships for the third year in a row. Student-athletes that are competing in the tournament will be participating in a community service project by donating cans of food to be distributed by the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Everett.
Tickets are good for the day and will be available at the door.
