Great work by Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force today. According to Lt. Rob Martin with the Sheriff’s Office a 32-year-old Tacoma man kidnapped a 26-year-old Everett woman and threatened to kill her. The man and woman were previously in a relationship. The victim was able to send text messages to her family who alerted police.
The Violent Offender Task Force was able to locate the male and female in vehicle driving around the north Everett area. The suspect attempted to elude police but was stopped and arrested near Paine Field Blvd and SR 525, Mukilteo. The female victim, who was in the vehicle, was not injured. The male was taken into custody without further incident. A handgun was located on the driver’s floorboard. The male will be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on multiple charges, to include kidnapping, assault 2nd degree and unlawful possession of a firearm.
