Got a nice note from the folks at Housing Hope regarding MyEverettNews.com sponsor Lombardi’s Italian Restaurants making some special moments for some of their families and thought we’d pass along the good news…
Recently, Lombardi’s Italian Restaurant at the Everett Marina generously invited 20 Housing Hope families to dine with them through the “Dine in for Hope” campaign. These families are working hard to overcome the challenges of homelessness and poverty, and the meal allowed them to celebrate their successes in Housing Hope.“As is our mission all year, Lombardi’s strives to uplift and care for our guests through fabulous food, a stellar cellar and warm hospitality,” said Kerri Lonergan-Dreke, proprietor of Lombardi’s Italian Restaurants & Catering. “We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with Housing Hope to uplift and care for those who are breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty.”
“Homelessness and poverty can feel so isolating. These families often struggle just to get through each day, so going out to dinner is a luxury that they rarely experience,” said Elizabeth Kohl, Director of Social Services at Housing Hope. “Thanks to the generosity of Lombardi’s, the opportunity to take their family out to dinner was a special memory for our families that they won’t soon forget.”
Lombardi’s owners Diane Symms and Kerri Lonergan-Dreke are passionate about giving back to the communities in which they do business and reside in, and have a strong history of service on many nonprofit boards and foundations.
