Bar Employee Uses Own Gun To Stop Active Shooter South Of Everett

The shooting has the northbound lanes of 99 closed at Lincoln Way. Southbound is getting past with no problem.
As of 9 AM all northbound lanes of Highway 99 are still closed following a shooting incident at O’Finnigians bar south of Everett early Saturday morning. Here’s what is known so far courtesy of Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting that occurred around 2 a.m. at a bar at the 13600 block of Hwy 99, leaving one man dead and one injured. Witnesses reported that there was an altercation between patrons and a 29 year-old man left the bar, retrieved a gun from his vehicle and began firing shots in the parking lot, injuring one of the patrons. That victim, a 23 year-old Lynnwood man, was transported to Harborview Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound and is expected to recover. A 28 year-old male employee of the bar who was armed shot and killed the suspect. No arrests have been made at this time and this incident remains under investigation.
