Port Of Everett CEO Called Up For Deployment To Afghanistan

Word just came in that Port of Everett CEO Les Reardanz is headed to Afghanistan.

Port of Everett CEO Les Reardanz has received orders to deploy to Afghanistan in February 2018. The deployment will last thru October 2018.

In addition to his civilian duties at the Port, Reardanz is a Captain in the Naval Reserve and is the Deputy Legal Counsel (Reserve) for Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff.

While deployed, Reardanz will be working as the Legal Advisor to the Command responsible for the “train and assist” mission helping the Afghan security institutions, including civilian governance and rule of law.

“It is an honor to serve our country, but I am deeply sorry for having to leave during the Port’s exciting centennial year,” Port of Everett CEO Les Reardanz said. “I will miss not being here for all the great things happening at the Port during this time.”

Lisa Lefeber, Chief of Policy and Communication for the Port, has been selected as acting CEO during his absence.
