New Year’s Eve Updates In Everett

Gasoline was leaking and fire had to stand by while the tow truck righted the car.

7:30 PM: It’s 32 degrees in Everett and some roads are getting slippery. Four different crashes in the last hour including an impaired driver on the Boeing Freeway and a minor injury roll over crash that shut down 110th SE just east of 19th SE by the Safeway there at Silver Lake. Gas was leaking from that crash and the road was blocked for about an hour. Meanwhile the fireworks complaints are starting to roll in.

Everett officers deal with a person who was slumped over with their foot on the gas.

12:00 AM: Fireworks, Impaired Drivers and small fires. There were multiple arrests for driving under the influence in Everett. State Troopers were assisting Everett Police with the high volume of intoxicated drivers. One guy almost blew up his BMW after passing out with his foot on the gas while in park.

Smoke pours out of the bed of a pickup debris after fireworks went off on Elliott Avenue.

There were a couple of small fires including one in the back of a pickup truck after a neighborhood fireworks display on Elliott Avenue. Firefighters were able to put the burning material out with an extinguisher.

Also Everett Police made multiple arrests for disorderly conduct and assault. No major injuries have been reported so far.
