Back To Back Fires Keep Everett Crews Busy Saturday Morning

Everett Fire

A boat on fire at Seacrest Marina in the far north of Everett and an apartment fire in southwest Everett kept Everett Fire and mutual aid crews busy this morning.

First, at around 8:30 AM came the report of a boat on fire at Seacrest Marina which is on Union Slough just south of Marysville. Crews had a challenge getting to the boat and used dry chem extinguishers to get a stop on that fire. There are no hydrants at the marina and it was an extremely long hose run from the closest engine to the marina. There were no injuries. An investigator is on scene.

The fire was contained to a single apartment.

As that incident was wrapping up came a report of a fire in a bottom story apartment at the Waldon Pond Apartments off 100th street SW in south Everett. Arriving fire units quickly knocked down that fire and damage was contained to a single apartment. One man was treated for smoke inhalation. There were no other injuries.

An Everett Fire Investigator is there working to determine the cause of that fire.

Crews from Marysville and South Snohomish Fire assisted Everett Fire crews this morning.
