Drill To Bring Simulated Gunfire To Naval Station Everett Tuesday And Wednesday

Passing along a note for people who live or work near Naval Station Everett that there will be an emergency response exercise on Monday and Tuesday…

Naval Station Everett will operate mostly as normal during the drill with no gate closures.

Naval Station Everett will be conducting an exercise for emergency responders on Tuesday, Dec. 5 and Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Exercise participants on base will be using blank rounds to simulate gunfire from 9-10 a.m. on Dec. 5 and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Dec. 6.

This exercise scenario will not include gate closures.

Neighboring residents may see or hear response activities associated with the exercise including loudspeaker announcements, response vehicles with flashing lights, and small boat activity in the harbor.

The purpose of the exercise is to maintain and improve qualifications of emergency response personnel who are responsible for protecting the safety and security of the Navy base, homeported vessels, and surrounding maritime environment.
