Everett Firefighters And Families Serve Annual Senior Meal
EFFA Board member Randy Seiber begins to carve under the watchful gaze of some of today’s helpers.
Every November for the last 18 years, members of the Everett Firefighter’s Association and their families have gathered together to prepare a full turkey dinner for seniors at the Carl Gipson Senior Center in Everett. That tradition continued today as between 50 and 70 firefighters and family members are taking shifts starting from early morning meal prep, conducting three different servings and then finishing with clean up. When all is said and done more than 350 meals are expected to be served. It is one of several public service projects undertaken by members of the Everett Firefighter’s Association. Here are some MyEverettNews.com photos of the meal prep and first serving of the day.
