After weeks of work by Everett Fire and Police investigators along with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the official cause for the fire on Monday September 25th at Everett Office Furniture at 2931 Broadway is undetermined. That’s the word received today from Everett Fire Marshal LeRoy McNulty.
“The fire cause is “Undetermined” as we cannot find specific evidence in the fire debris that can be more definitive,” sail McNulty. “We know exactly where the fire started, but the area of origin had too much damage to be specific.”
The building has been released to the insurance company and cleanup is expected to begin soon. Damage was estimated at $1.5 million dollars. The main tenant of the building, Everett Office Furniture is operating at an alternate location.
