Fire was coming from the garage when the first firefighters arrived.
The fire was contained to one side of the duplex but there was smoke and water damage to the other side.
Two firefighters stand by to ventilate the roof.
Everett Firefighters were able to make a quick stop on a duplex fire just a couple of blocks east of Fire Station 4 Friday night.
The fire was reported shortly after 9:00 PM at 60th and Seahurst.
The occupants of both sides of the duplex made it out but were going to need assistance from the Red Cross for the night. One person was treated for burns and transported by medic unit to Harborview Hospital in Seattle. No word on their condition.
An investigator from the Everett Fire Department is on scene looking for the cause of the fire.
