Jacknifed Semi Slows Southbound I-5 In Everett

There were no injuries.

A semi carrying cement jacknifed on southbound I-5 south of 41st street just after 1:30 PM this afternoon.
The Washington State Patrol says around 60 gallons of diesel have spilled from the big rig’s fuel tanks.
Everett Fire is on scene and the Department of Ecology has been called.
As of 2:15 PM WSP says there are two left lanes open and the three right lanes will be blocked for about two hours.
Alternate routes are recommended such as Broadway and Evergreen Way up to Eastmont to get back on southbound I-5.
